IMG_2573Hi there! I’m Ceci (cecisaysblog@gmail.com).

I’m a coffee drinking, food loving, Arizona mom who loves finding the little things that make life interesting, creative, delicious and meaningful.

After 18 years as a college administrator and career woman, I made the shift to stay-at-home mom after the birth of my son in 2009. Since then, I’ve re-discovered the joys of being in control of my own time!

I love to cook almost as much as I love to eat, so eating good food is a passion.  And “good” can mean tasty, healthy, decadent, comforting and so much more. Recipes, restaurants and ingredients abound here, and I’ll share them all with you.

Since becoming a mom, I’ve also discovered a drive to do my part to make the world a better place.  Even the smallest gestures can make a difference, and I want my kids to know that there’s always something we can do to help. From small things we can all do to make our every day lives more meaningful to volunteering at school and getting involved in helping to make our education system work better for today’s families, I explore lots of ways we ALL do what matters.

Finally, being at home and NOT having my own income coming in has turned me into an avid do-it-yourselfer. I love finding ways to craft things, from body butter to birthday party decorations. Sometimes they turn out great; other times … perhaps there are some things you just need to buy. What I’ve discovered is that crochet makes me happy, and I DO have the confidence to believe in myself and my own creative abilities. Crafting your life is fun, fulfilling and fabulous. And again, it can mean a lot of different things to different people.

In this blog, I hope to explore all of these avenues and more. You’ll find new posts 2-3 times a week that I hope you will find informative, relatable and fun.

I hope you’ll visit often and join the conversation, too! Leave me a comment, subscribe to get notifications of new posts, and connect with me on Facebook or Twitter.
